Dr. Bjørn Gunnarsson is an Associate Professor of Arctic Maritime Transportation & Logistics at the Centre for High North Logistics (CHNL) at the Business School of Nord University in Bodo, Norway. Bjorn received his BSc in geology from the University of Iceland and PhD in geochemistry from the Johns Hopkins University, USA. Prior positions include Managing Director of the Centre for High North Logistics in Norway, Academic Director of the School for Renewable Energy Science, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Akureyri, and Director of the Environmental Research Institute of the University of Iceland.
