A New Event Dedicated to Crewing for the Cruise Industry

A new one day summit added to CrewConnect Global for the first time in 2017. CruiseConnect took place on November 6th, one day before the main conference began.

We are asking seafarers, cadets and the wider industry what makes them #HappyAtSea.

It could be anything from, 'good food,' 'travel' or even 'getting paid in full and on time'.

Those are just some of the reasons that make seafarers #HappyAtSea.

How is the industry planning for the future and for sustainable growth?

Can the manpower sector deliver the right numbers and the right quality of crews? What are the gaps and challenges of crewing in the cruise industry and, most importantly, what needs to happen to ensure that cruise operators have the crews they need?

Crew Supply and Recruitment Forum

Given current and future business needs, crew supply may prove to be the biggest disruptor in the cruise industry. What are the current and emerging supply centres’ strengths and vulnerabilities? Can crewing agents deliver?

Safety culture, safety behaviours and safety training

Safety culture is widely accepted as reality, but is this overstated? Are we working to understand and change behaviours? Our panellists will share their perspectives on what works and what doesn’t in this evidence-based discussion.

Are your crews delivering the customer experience you promise?

The promise of a unique experience and outstanding service aboard is central to business success in the cruise industry. But what makes a great customer experience? How is this communicated? How has it changed? Are we still operating under cultural biases? Do our customers and crews?
