The Maritime Industry is highly affected by the upcoming 2020 regulations, increased fuel prices and the demand for green shipping. The need for adaptation to a more environmentally friendly and cost effective energy solution is urgent in the increasingly competitive global market.
Climeon is turning waste heat from ship engines into clean electricity. Ship owners like Virgin Voyages, Viking Line and Maersk have already recognized the advantages of the Climeon Heat Power system. The solution can be deployed in both, new build and retrofit installations and is applicable for all fuel types. The technology is extremly compact and operates at low pressure levels. Due to its modular design the system is easily scalable from one 150kW module up to 2 MW installations.
A Climeon Heat Power System, producing 2 MW of clean electricity, enables ship owners to reduce the annual CO2 emissions by more than 7000 tonns, this equals in 2300 tonns of saved fuel every year.
