Major shore power investment in Port Of Kristiansand started in 2014 with a high-voltage supply of Color Line ferry SuperSpeed.
In 2015, the port bought its first 60Hz low-voltage shore power plant and the next in 2016.

 Low voltage 50 Hz can be supplied along all quays

10th of September 2018, Port of Kristiansand connected the first cruise ship, Regal Princess, to the new 16 MVA, 11Kv, 60Hz shore power supply
