The International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (INTERCARGO) is the voice of the world’s quality dry cargo shipowners, managers, and operators. We have represented the unique interests of the sector at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for nearly thirty years. Membership of INTERCARGO is widely seen as a badge of quality throughout the industry. INTERCARGO stands at the forefront of the challenges faced by the dry bulk sector, enabling its members to keep ahead of industry issues. We provide a specialist forum for dialogue on key topics and regulatory challenges, especially in relation to safety, the environment, and operational excellence. Our Association takes forward our members’ positions to the IMO, as well as to other shipping and international industry fora, having free and fair competition as a principle. The industry expertise within INTERCARGO has positioned us at the centre of the environmental agenda, and the Association is spearheading a number of key initiatives aimed at supporting IMO in its decarbonisation targets and ambitions.
