Mr Sauvir Sarkar is a graduate Naval Architect, with a Post graduation in Business Management.
In his working career of 30 years, he has spent over 12 years in Lloyd’s Register and the balance 18 years in Shipbuilding/Shiprepair yards.
He has been involved in the design and build of both merchant vessels, offshore support vessels, which include bulk carriers, product tankers, Ro-Ro ships, General cargo ships Jack up Rig and all types of Offshore support vessels. These include Diesel Electric, LNG fuelled, Conventional diesel, with fixed pitch, controllable pitch, azimuth propulsion, cycloidal propulsion etc.
Mr Sarkar, joined ASRY in August 2012 and heads the New construction and Engineering division within ASRY.
As a part of providing engineering services to owners, for ASRY’s Shiprepair and Offshore division to undertake renovations, a number of projects have been completed for clients.
These include Ballast water treatment system installation, Conversions from Heavy Fuel Oil to LSMGO , Large crane installations, DP system installations, ROV/Dive support installations, Helideck installations, Mud system installations and other renovations on Ships and Jack up Rigs.
The New construction and Engineering division of ASRY, has also been awarded New construction work and is pursuing other New construction and Engineering opportunities
