Nick is a partner in the Marine and International Trade department in London. He joined Clyde & Co in 2002 and has been a partner since 2005.
Nick specialises in shipping and trading disputes in both court and arbitration proceedings. He acts for charterers, traders, shipowners and P&I clubs on charterparty, bill of lading, offshore and general shipping issues. He is also regularly instructed by a wide range of overseas lawyers with whom he has built strong links.
Nick also focuses on oil and dry cargo trading disputes and represents major commodity houses and mining companies on their shipping and trading activities.
Nick lectures nationally and internationally on legal aspects of shipping and trading. He speaks at conferences organised by ASDEM, The Oxford Princeton Programme in London and Singapore, and conducts frequent workshops for the Lloyd's Maritime Academy and for individual clients.
He serves on the Council of the London Shipping Law Centre, is a member of the LCIA and is a Supporting Member of the LMAA. Nick is recommended as a key individual in The Legal 500.
