Helsinki University EU-expert training. Worked as forwarding agent, P&I- and insurance specialist and maritime lawyer in private shipping companies. Since 1989 worked in administration. Finnish Maritime Administration as secretary for international affairs, deputy director and chief of legal department. From 2010 at Finnish Transport Agency as legal counsel. During 2012 national expert training (NEPT) at EMSA (European Maritime Safety Agency). Represented Finland at IMO committees and subcommittees. IALA LaP member.
