A master mariner, quality and safety coach, mentor and more importantly, a passionate sailor at heart with over 30 plus years of experience in the maritime industry. Capt. Soma brings to Bigyellowfish the seafarer first approach.

He drives the vision to transform workplace experiences and performance standards of the frontline workforce in the industry towards an enriching and sustainable future of seafaring.

He is an alumnus of UCLA Anderson School of Management, a member of the Digitalization committee of the Singapore Shipping Association, and an integral member of the start-up working group of the SSA.
