Klaus Værnø has been with Marine Benefits the past 4 years and is currently responsible for sales in Northern Europe, as well as holding an extended responsibility for the Personal Accident Liability product line. With his background from Norwegian Hull Club as a Claims Handler and Adjuster, he has long experience from handling accidents and incidents, ranging from collisions, groundings, crew kidnap and ransom as well as personal injuries, and the underlying factors for these.
Before entering marine insurance, Klaus was an officer in the Norwegian Royal Navy and has also worked as Legal advisor to the Minister of Defense. He has also worked as a business consultant and lobbyist for domestic shipping interests.
Klaus holds a Master from the Royal Navy Academy in Norway, a Master of Laws from the University in Oslo, and a Master of Management from Norwegian Business School.
