Pam KernFounder at Happiness at Sea
As the founder of Happiness at Sea, Pam designs prevention and intervention programs for crew welfare and wellness. Using a psychosocial lens, her programs mitigate crew fatigue and increase productivity, engagement and happiness to improve what Pam calls the "3 R’s" - ratings, revenue and retention. Pam has over 20 years of experience working within the cruise industry, both as a crew member herself with Holland America Line and in land-based operations for Carnival Cruise Lines. Pam received a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University and is a licensed LMSW. She also holds a certificate in Business Analytics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
