Dr Aime Harrison has been a Technical Advisor to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for Editorial and Technical Working Groups concerned with the laboratory analysis and documentation for bulk cargoes since 2011. As a Chartered Engineer with a doctorate in the mechanics of soils, Aime has over 20 years’ experience as a geotechnical engineering expert appointed by ship owners, P&I Clubs, insurance companies, lawyers, project sponsors, port owners and operators, loss adjusters, and other members of the shipping and maritime engineering communities. Aime’s Technical Advisory team is supported by a global team of independent laboratories accredited by ISO / IEC 17025, the competence standard for testing and calibration laboratories.
